    • There could be a poor connection point in or at the breaker itself.
  • The circuit can be partially incapacitated due to a poor connection.

3. Overload

4. Wire Size

While adding an outlet or a circuit, use wires and devices designed for that particular amperage.

5. Fuse Replacement

Another way to avoid electrical problem is to never replace fuses or breakers with wires of higher amperage. This causes overheating of the wire, which can lead to a fire.

6. Correct Wire Length

It is important to use about 6 inches of wire inside the junction box so that there is enough for making connections properly; however, ensure that the wire is not too long or this can cause home electrical problems.

7. Loose Connections

Keep the breaker and neutral connections firm. If the neutral is loose, the lights will flicker or will dim. If the breaker connection is loose, it will cause the circuit to heat up, and, in turn, trip the breaker.

8. Bulb Wattage

Most incandescent light bases carry a wattage limit warning. Do not use a light bulb with a higher wattage than what is advised in the holder. As a higher watt bulb uses more energy, the base will get overheated and might start a fire.

9. Connecting to the Right Terminals

Making wrong terminal connections will cause problems. The hot wire should be connected to the brass-colored screw of the outlet. The neutral wire should be connected to the silver terminal and the ground wire to the green screw.

10. High Electricity Bill
